What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a system that uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth.
Unlike braces, with Invisalign, no one can tell you’re even wearing any sort of appliance in your mouth. So you can smile happily both during and after your treatment.
Invisalign is made with 3D imaging technology and has shown lasting results and proven effectiveness.
Why Invisalign?
Invisalign aligners are invisible and removable. You can eat and drink, with no problems, during treatment. With ordinary braces, brushing and flossing can be troublesome and the bands and wires can cause all sorts of trouble in getting your teeth fully clean. With Invisalign, you simply pop out the appliance and brush and floss normally.
Invisalign is also comfortable, with no little pieces of metal causing abrasions during treatment. And without all those wires, you will spend less time in the office getting adjustments.
Since the Invisalign plan is based on a 3D computer model you can see your own virtual treatment plan when you start and you’ll be able to see how straight and beautiful your teeth will look when your Invisalign treatment is complete.
How Does the Invisalign System Work?
With the Invisalign System, you wear each set of aligners for approximately two weeks, removing them only to brush, floss, eat and drink. Each time you replace an aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move, and little by little, your teeth are moved into the perfect position.
You’ll visit our office every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing smoothly and exactly as planned. Total treatment time depends on your unique situation, however, the average is nine to fifteen months. The usual number of aligners worn in this period is between eighteen and thirty.
